The idea is daring—publish as you write without revision and editing. It’s a way to keep things fresh like improvisational jazz. I’m curious as to whether you can pull it off. Inviting reader participation makes it almost a different form—sort of like telling stories in a cave in the Palaeolithic where things can change based on listener reactions.
Yes, there’s an exciting factor to doing it like that, although I have to say that the “live interaction” is less than one could think, since I started with 0 subs and was on chapter 20 when I had 150 and am on chapter 39 at 350/550 subscribers (200 are HoC subs).
I will write my next novel after this one like this too, maybe there will be more interaction as in people who might influence the direction it goes in. Either way, I’m happy and grateful to be able to do this and to be read!
Very intriguing and well written chapter! You gave us just enough to be curious, packing a LOT of information into so few lines but in a way that didn't seem overly dense. Loved the social commentary here, too. Onto the next!
Love the beginning of the story; just a note though. The white type on black background is really hard for this ole woman to read much of. I get a little dizzy after awhile. Do other peeps tell you that? Maybe I could switch it myself, but I don't know how to do that.
I really enjoyed chapter 1... I'm going to keep reading. It's like starting a Netflix series after all the episodes are already released... yay there's more
I admit that something hasn't captured my attention like this in a long time. Especially as someone who is interested in Artificial Intelligence and its development. And to see someone writing about exactly that, but in a fiction genre, is especially interesting.
Wow! Really cool. Let me know what you think, as the story progresses. An unexpected aspect of this project of mine (the writing) is the joy I feel when some one gets started on my story and comments or messages me every couple of chapters what they think and thought!
That's awesome! I can't wait to read the other parts. I just want to say that you're not far off the mark about the future. This is going to be interesting. I'm impressed that you included the AI problem.
Thank you so much, means a lot! All the chapters from part one are available as tiny chapters or all 15 in the pinned post. Would love your thoughts here and there on the single chapters, as the story progresses!
Of course! I also checked out your substack and subscribed, what you're doing is awesome and I have a lot of respect for your work and love for your creativity and how you're implementing it.
Also, interacting with people who read my story is a blast!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked mu work. I will read more of your work later, but i want you to know that what you are doing is awesome. It's like a book i've read when i was 14 it was about apocalypcise because the moon came too close to Earth. It gives me this kind of vibes but with AI
Ooh what an interesting start. It feels a little too real lol, but I'm here for the ride!
Thank you so much for reading! Do let me know what you think, in case you read on!

Hey, thank you for reading & commenting.

I hate how real this feels. I mean, I like it, it’s good. But I hate it. Because it feels real. And that’s good!
(clever word banter aside, I enjoyed this. Glad there’s more to read!)
Appreciate this a lot. Thank you for reading!
Ominous set-up... let's see where you go.
Yes! Do let me know what you think!
I’m so intrigued (in a good way haha) by the start of this story! Need to read more! Hahaha happy that there is a lot for me to continue on!!!
Ahhh!! Thank you so much! Enjoy and get back to me! <3
Is this fiction, or prophecy? I can’t tell which.
Hahah, oh boy! Hopefully fiction.

Oh, man. Thank you so much. Such a great, encouraging comment!

Thank you SO much for reading and commenting! I appreciate it so much.
Depending on your browser, you can activate a "reader" function where you can change the background etc. of any page with lots of text.
On Safari (Mac) I see a little box on the left of where you write the address of the website.
If you tell me what browser you're using on what device, I can look up and DM you how to do it and if it's possible!
I use Chrome
Found this:
To activate Chrome's Reader Mode:
right-click
select "Open in reading mode,"
or
use the three-dots menu
"More tools"
"Reading mode"
Let me know if it worked.
Thanks!
Loved this first chapter! Now I’m really looking forward to that twist you hinted at earlier 👀
Thank you so so much!!! Enjoy 💓
I enjoyed the first chapter! Looking forward to reading more 🧡🥰
Oh! Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy it. Let me know what you think as you progress in the story. <3 Thanks again
I absolutely will! 🫶 Always feel free to stop by and drop me a line when a new chapter comes! I’m here for you!!!
Just gonna drop one line right away instead of 29 - I published chapter 30 today, hahaha :)
You can save this post to read a short chapter every once in a while if you find the time: https://iandmtaniels.substack.com/p/overview
Thanks again!
I’ll be sure to dig in and comment as I go along!
Love where this is headed. Can't wait to read more!
Thank you so much! Means a lot :)
What a great start 😂
Hahah, how do I interpret your emoji?
